If onboarding a minor who needs help filling out the Form I-9, a parent or legal guardian may assist the minor to complete Section 1. The person who assisted the minor must also complete the preparer/translator section of the Form I-9.
The parent or legal guardian who is assisting the minor to complete Section 1 of the I-9 may function both as the preparer/translator and the I-9 Aide for Section 2 at the same time.
Yes, there is a training requirement for minors registered with Central Casting California or Central Casting New York. Parents or legal guardians of minors age 13 and younger should take the training in place of the minor. By taking the training in place of a minor age 13 or younger, the parent or legal guardian is certifying that they have completed the training and will explain the material to the minor. Minors age 14 and above need to take the training themselves to remain active and eligible to be booked.
To update your minor’s permit, please complete our Minor’s Permit Update form.
A parent or guardian must accompany a minor on set.
Another guardian who is not working on the show must accompany the minor.
You will be on set with them, behind the scenes. Please stay within your designated area and do not interfere with production. Be prepared to accompany your minor when they go to wardrobe, set, and to school (if applicable).
