Your Central Casting online profile is one of the main tools casting directors and production companies use when considering you for background roles. Knowing how to access, how to update and when to update your profile is key to working as a background actor with Central Casting.

Creating your online profile

Your profile is created using the information and photos you supply during the sign up process. Since this information is used to cast you in roles, it’s important to be as accurate and thorough as possible when filling this information out for the first time.

As part of this process, you will be asked to provide your sizes. Your sizes are used when production provides wardrobe and when casting stand-ins and doubles. Not sure how to take your accurate measurements? We’ve got you covered with easy guides in our Talent Resources.

To begin the sign up process and create your profile, you will first need to enter your email address on the sign in screen and click “continue.” Then select the “create new login option.” Enter your name, email and password then click "finish." From there you will be prompted to begin the online application. If you have questions about signing up, see our Support page.

Logging in to your online profile

After creating a login, you can access your online profile by clicking the Log In link in the website menu. Enter your email, click the “continue” button, then enter your password. After entering your password, you will be prompted to complete multi-factor authentication.

How to navigate your profile

  • To access your profile information, click the “Profiles” option in the top menu, then click on your photo to open your profile.
  • To track what projects you’re booked on and how you’ve responded to messages, click the “My Schedule” option in the top menu.
  • If you’re booked on a show using SmartVoucher, you can review and approve your voucher by clicking the “Job Review” option in the top menu. Once you approve your voucher, you cannot unapprove or raise a query. Learn more about using SmartVoucher.
  • To view and respond to messages you’ve received, click “Inbox” in the top menu. Messages will also be sent to your email and as a text message.

Updating your online profile

It’s important to update your profile photos and information any time your look changes. To update, log in to your profile, select the “Profiles” option in the top menu, click on your profile, then click on a section to reveal the profile fields. Update any outdated information and fill out any missing details. You’ll know your changes saved if the field turns green.

When uploading new photos, don’t forget to delete any photos that no longer represent your current look. For example, if you have one photo with a full beard and one photo clean-shaven, casting directors and production companies will not know which look you have right now and will not be able to use those photos to consider you for roles.
