Fill out the online portion of registration and make a reservation to visit our office. You must finish the online portion before coming to our office to complete registration.

Complete registration by bringing your required documentation to your reserved session at our New Orleans office. There you’ll complete paperwork, an orientation, and take a photo for our casting system.

What is a Background Actor?
A Background Actor (also called an extra) is someone who performs in a show in a nonspeaking role, usually in the background. Central Casting registers talent for Stand-In, double, and extra work.

Does it cost money to register?
Registration with Central Casting is free. There are no fees associated with employment.

I have already registered in person at a Central Casting office. Do I need to complete the online registration process?
No. If you have previously registered in person with Central Casting, you do not need to complete the online registration process.

Why do I still need to come into the office after completing online registration?
You must visit in person to complete your registration by taking your casting photo and completing employee onboarding paperwork.

What if I don’t know how to answer a question?
Please try your best to answer every question as you will not be able to proceed without making a selection. Changes can be made when you visit the office for your reserved session.

If I’m about to move, which address should I use?
Please use your current address. When necessary, addresses can be changed at any time by reserving a spot for a Re-Registration and Updates session.

Do I have to answer every question?
The registration process requires submission of all relevant information. Each page has information that is required before proceeding.

I’m on a page and can’t continue. How do I proceed?
Each field requires information before you can proceed to the next page. Check the page to ensure each required field has an appropriate answer.

I don’t have my own email. What should I do?
A unique email address is required for each person to register and build an online talent profile.

I share my email address with someone else. Can we both use it to register online with Central Casting?
No. A unique email address is required for each individual to register and build an online talent profile.

Can I register for someone else?
No. You can only register for yourself. At this time, minors must be registered in person at Central Casting.

Why can’t I register my minor online?
Children have different requirements when registering and must be registered in person. Please visit our Kids Registration page for more information.

Can I email you my information instead?
No. We only accept registration information through our secure online registration process or in person.

Can I email you photos instead of coming into the office?
No. Each new registrant will have a photo taken by Central Casting for their talent profile.

I’m not a resident of the United States. Can I register with Central Casting?
In accordance with federal law, Central Casting is only able to hire those who are authorized to work in the United States.

If I register, am I really going to be able to get on set?
Work is not guaranteed. Registering with Central Casting makes you eligible to be booked for work should you fit the needs of our production clients.

How many Central Casting profiles can I set up?
You can only set up a single talent profile.

Can I register my pets or vehicles to be in movies?
We register you as an individual. At New Registration Onboarding, you may add vehicles, pets, and other props you have to your profile. Alternatively, you can update your profile at a Re-Registration and Updates session.

Once I’m registered, how do I get work?
Please visit our Talent page for all relevant information.

Will you assign me to a Casting Director or an agent?
No, you are responsible for securing your own work through Central Casting. As you submit for different roles, you will likely interact with several of our Casting Directors.

When do reservations become available?
New sessions open up exactly 7 days from the time the event starts. If all dates show unavailable (gray) then sessions are either currently filled or not yet open. Spots can open at any time due to cancellation.

I need to cancel or change my reservation. How do I do that?
Please review the email that was sent you from no-reply@calendly.com to cancel or change your reservation.

I did not receive a confirmation email for my reservation. What happened?
If you successfully made a reservation, but did not receive an email, check your junk and other non-inbox folders. You can also search your email for no-reply@calendly.com to locate your reservation confirmation.
Please note: Reservations often fill quickly. In order to successfully make a reservation, you must enter your full name, click the schedule event button, and receive a confirmation email.

What should I wear for my profile photo when I come to the office?
There is no required look. Please come to our office in the attire that you think best represents you, ready to take your photo.

Is my data secure?
Yes. Central Casting and Entertainment Partners, care very much about the security of your data. Please learn more by visiting EP’s website.

When will I be famous?
Don’t worry. When you’re famous, you’ll know.

What if I don’t have proper documentation?
Those without required documentation (unexpired originals only, no photocopies) to accompany the I-9 form will be turned away.
Must bring identification showing date of birth for the Age Verification form.

What if I’m a member of SAG-AFTRA?
Please bring your current SAG-AFTRA card/receipt issued by SAG-AFTRA with you to registration.

Can I bring my dog?
Guests and pets cannot be accommodated.

Are I-9 form requirements different for minors?
Minors are required to bring the same identification as adults. Visit our Kids Register page for more information on registering your minor.

I just got a haircut, how can I update my look?
You can take a new profile photo at Re-Registration and Updates sessions. Reservations are required. You can find out more on the Re-Registration and Updates section of the Talent page.

I was told I need to update/re-register my talent profile. How do I do that?
Re-Registration and Updates are completed in person at our New Orleans office. Please review our article, When Should I Re-Register and Update?

How long does registration take?
Registration is approximately an hour long.

Where can I park?
Street and lot parking is available in the area at your own expense. The easiest parking is in the Superdome visitors lot adjacent to Benson Towers. We do not provide validation for any garages in the area.

Do I need to live in the Louisiana area to register?
No, but you need to be able to work in the Louisiana area.
Central Casting is a participant in the E-Verify program. We will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with information from each new employee’s I-9 form to confirm employment authorization. Note: If the government cannot confirm that you are authorized to work, we are required to provide you with written instructions and an opportunity to contact the SSA and/or DHS before taking adverse action against you, including terminating your employment.
