As we prepare for production to resume, here's a refresher on what Casting Directors look for in selfies. Over the last few months, many of us have changed our look in some way, so these photos will be a useful tool when casting projects.

In their job posts, Casting Directors may ask for a selfie to see your current look. Find out the best way to take a selfie to send to Central Casting.Hello Central Casting New York Background Actors. Filming has not yet resumed, however, production hopes to return to filming in August. More info to come shortly!
Also, as a condition of working on set, production may require Background Actors to get COVID-19 testing at their testing facility prior to any work date(s). Productions may also require a face mask to be worn while on set.
Please keep this in mind as you submit for jobs, as testing dates are connected to work dates and you need to be available for both the testing date and work date(s) to be booked. Stay tuned for exciting job posts coming soon!

It’s been about 9 weeks since our industry went down due to COVID-19 and I, as well as all of you, am sure ready to get back to work! But of course, we can’t do that until it is safe to do so. Having all of our financial and creative resources end so quickly has been hard on all of us. I wanted to share with you that over these weeks we have been actively involved with meeting with our clients, studios and union to partner in what will be the best path to move us forward and get back to work safely. As more information evolves, we will be sure to communicate it out to you as best we can. In the meantime, stay safe, take good care of yourself, catch up on movies and shows and spend time with your loved ones. We are thinking about all of you and hoping we all can get back to making movies and television again soon!

You may be wondering how to remain engaged with the industry and stay prepared for when production resumes. Here's a refresher for working on set.Dear Central Casting community,
We are in unprecedented times. With the ongoing spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and the speed at which everything is changing, we are all continuing to adapt as best we can. Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our community, our offices remain closed until further notice. Additionally, most of the shows we cast have gone down until we all feel confident it is safe to get back to work.
